Marine Biogeography and
Evolution
Marine biogeography, the study of the geographical distribution of marine organisms, is a core discipline of evolutionary biology since the days of Darwin and Wallace.
My research is principally curiosity and question-driven, instead of model-driven. I am interested primarily in evolution of populations and species and understanding their evolutionary patterns. Therefore, I am not confined to a particular type of organism, habitat or region. I work primarily on marine fish, but also occasionally on terrestrial both invertebrate and vertebrate animals.
